The tests about the resistance of the ConcreteSleeve have been done in Tor Vergata with the Prof. Alberto Meda.
There have been made several test with an axial force applied on a S355 post due to check the behaviour of the ConcreteSleeves in relation with the kerb.
The positive testresults show us beside the high resistance of the ConcreteSleeve also good response of the kerb, where the ConcreteSleeve has been integrated, itself.
Crash test TB11 and TB81 with the ANAS H4B- road barrier on the CSI testfield in Bollate, close to Milan.
The curb with the CE systems inserted and the ANAS H4BPSMC-CL M4 bridge edge barrier were installed on the test field.
Both tests, TB11 and TB81, have been tested with an impact angle of 20°.
After the impact on the ANAS “H4BPSMC-CL M4” guardrail installed in the kerb together with the ConcreteSleeve,
both vehicles showed a successful containment and damage minimization.
The positive result showed that the ConcreteSleeve did its job well, without being damaged nor deformed.
