The Research & Development department is central and strategic, working on innovative technologies to increase road infrastructure safety in line with the future of “smart” roads.
From this vision two patents were born in 2017, ready to revolutionize the anchoring systems of the guardrails, GroundSleeve and ConcreteSleeve. In 2018 HingeRail opened new horizons in the connection between the longitudinal elements, in particular the StratecWood barrier.

Also in 2018, STRATEC RT signed a Research & Development agreement with the most important Italian operator of roads for testing STRATEC systems with the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, successfully concluded in June 2019 with the Crash Test facility in Milan.
